After qualifying I worked in hospitals around Sheffield. In 1976 I joined a general practice in Burnley ( ColneRoadSurgery . co . uk ) and was senior partner until retirement - June 2009.

Married to Sylvia, our daughter is a dentist in London and our son works locally in food production one grandson Ayden. I am currently President of Burnley Rotary Club (2009-10).

I live in Reedley between Burnley and Nelson as evidenced by picture.
